The invention relates to a device allowing a whip antenna to be fitted and removed without a tool. It consists of a base part (1) incorporated into the plinth of a vehicle (2) or fastened by screwing in place of the whip antenna, into which a housing (3) is clipped, integrated, or fastened by screwing to the base of the whip (4). The housing (3) is fitted with clips (5) which fasten into the groove (6) inside the base part, thus rendering the whip integral with the base part. It includes a bush, the movement of which by a manual action eclipses the clips, allowing the whip to be extracted. The device according to the invention is intended to protect the whip antenna from damage by car washes and driers and from vandalism on certain parking sites, in the sense that it can easily be removed and stored within the vehicle. <IMAGE>
