PURPOSE:To prevent ink mixing between units by providing a magnetically actuated valve mechanism at a different position of each ink tank per unit. CONSTITUTION:Mounts 16a-16d for mounting ink tanks 12a-12d are formed on an ink tank attachment part 10 and openings 18a-18d at corresponding positions on each mount. In the meantime, magnetism-generating means 22a-22d are provided at different positions of each mount 16a-16d in the ink tank 12a. Under the above-mentioned configuration, if the ink tank 12a is mounted at a right ink mount 16a, an ink path inside the ink tank 12a is opened influenced by a magnetic field generated by the magnetism-generating means 22a. On the other hand, if the ink tank 12a is mounted on an improper ink mount, the ink path remains closed. |
