<p>This rotary ball actuator comprises a piston (106) mounted in a body (102, 104), the piston (106) having helical ramps (110) interacting by means of first balls (109) with helical ramps (108) formed on the inside of said first part (102) of the body, and rectilinear ramps (113) interacting by means of second balls (112) with rectilinear ramps (111) formed on the inside of said second part (104); the first balls (109) and second balls (112) are retained respectively in first (112) and second (125) ball cages interposed between the piston (106) and the body (102, 104) and subject to the movement of the piston (106) by means of a device with a pin (127, 130) and helical ramp.
