PURPOSE:To obtain a full-color ink jet recording material having excellent color forming property and capable of recording clear images, by a method wherein an ink-receiving layer is provided on a base, and the ink-absorbing capacity of a recording material is specified. CONSTITUTION:The recording material is provided with the ink-receiving layer, and has an ink-absorbing capacity of not less than 7.0X10<-3>mul/mm.<2>. By using this recording material, even when recording liquids of different colors are overlappingly adhered to the same part in a short time, the luquids are prevented from flowing out or exuding, and a color image having an image quality comparable to that of color photographs can be formed with high resolution, high clearness and excellent color forming property. |
