PURPOSE:To provide a bolt fastening machine of good performance by furnishing it with a bolt socket having at its tip a socket hole for fitting with the head of each bolt, so that the bolt socket can be coupled with a rotary shaft via a universal joint, and thereby providing possibility of fastening even though axes of bolt socket and bolt are dislocated from each other. CONSTITUTION:The rotary shaft 6 of a bolt fastening machine 4 is rotated and a bearing housing 5 is sunk to a bolt 3. If, at this time, a bolt socket 9 is dislocated from the axis of the bolt 3, the tip of the bolt socket 9 contacts the oversurface of the bolt head 3a to be hindered from further sinking. The bearing housing 5 however continues sinking, so that an expansion/contraction shaft 8 pushes the bolt socket 9 to the bolt head 3a while said shaft 8 is contracting against the resilience of a spring 17. Thereafter the bolt socket 9 makes conical motion with a boss 16 as fulcrum, to compress a resilient member 13 in one direction. Socket hole 9a and the head 3a of bolt 3 will now mate together, and the bolt 3 is fastened with rotation of bolt socket 9. |
