A non-contact type IC card, in which is incorporated a reacess inhibition time setting circuit (12) which sets, after the operation of a main circuit (16), a reaccess inhibition time during which any reaccess is inhibited for a fixed time, and thereby, a double hysteresis can be prevented from being written in the IC card due to the reaccess in a short time. Also, in the IC card, two areas (321, 322) are provided in a memory (32), and data are recorded in these areas alternately. When the data is read, in case data in one area is destroyed, the other normal data is read out. When both the data are normal, the data recorded later is read out. Thereby, read impossibility due to defect data can be prevented. <IMAGE> |
