PURPOSE:To generate attraction force between a salient electrode and an external lead wire and to simpliry adjustment by making the salient electrode, which is to be set up on a semiconductor pellet and the external lead wire connecting therewith, contain respectively ferromagnetic material. CONSTITUTION:To make a bump 44, i.e. a salient electrode, which is to be formed on the semiconductor pellet, contain ferromagnetic material, and also to make an external lead wire 43, which is to be set up on a ceramic base 42, on which a pellet 41 to be placed, contain ferromagnetic material. Next, to have electromagnet 46 wound up with a coil 45 placed under the bace 42, when performing face down bonding by making the bump 44 of pellet 41 contact in opposition to a lead wire 43 on the base 42. When making flow electric current on the coil under such constitution, the magnetic field will be generated, magnetizing the bump 44 and the lead wire so that their mutual positions will be automatically fixed. Consequently, there is no need of a fine adjustment mechanism and the operating efficiency will greatly be improved. |
