PURPOSE:To supply transfer paper retaining in a feeding device without causing jamming so that an image may be formed by switching the feed control for the retaining transfer paper considering the presence or absence of the transfer paper, the stopping position of the transfer paper and the size of the transfer paper in a 1st paper feeding means and a 2nd paper feeding means in the midst of standing by image forming operation. CONSTITUTION:A control part CONT controls the feed of the transfer paper and the formation of the image when the start of the formation of the image is instructed based on the detected result by a 2nd fed paper detection sensor S1, the detected result by a transfer paper detection sensor 362, and the detected result by a 2nd size sensor S11 in the midst of standing by the image forming operation. As a result, the transfer paper being stopped is continuously fed without causing the jamming according whether the transfer paper in the left deck 126 of the 2nd paper feeding means runs out and whether or not the size of the transfer paper already fed is different from the size of the transfer paper supplied and housed in the 2nd paper feeding means. |
