PURPOSE: To incorporate a wheel hub bearing with a constant-velocity universal joint easily removably as a unit. CONSTITUTION: A hub unit 1 comprises a first member 5 of a bearing 3, and a constant-velocity universal joint 4. A second element 15 is interference-fitted to a first element 13 of the first member 3 and secured by a press deformation of an annular attachment 35. An outer gap 28 is simply and tightly coupled with to the first member 5 by a splined portion and an elastic ring. A race portion of the second element 15 for rolling a rolling body 9 is e.g. high frequency quenched but a press-deformed annular attachment 35 is plastically deformable. |
