PURPOSE:To enhance the dielectric strength of the title switchgear and to make it small-sized by a method wherein a metal container which houses an electric apparatus is partitioned, a plurality of compartments are formed and pure water is used as an insulating medium in the compartment. CONSTITUTION:A metal container 1 is partitioned by grounding-metal partition plates 1a. Water, preferably pure water 10, is used as an insulating medium is individual compartments. An apparatus which is used to supply the pure water 10 into the metal container 1 is installed at the outside of the metal container 1. That is to say, the pure water 10 is dischaged from the side of a valve 11 via a pipe 18 by means of a pump 12. The water is set to a conductivity of 1mus/cm or lower by means of an ion exchanger 13. In addition, pure water which is sent from a cooler 14 are filtered out in a water-quality treatment part 15, and the pure water as desired pure water 10 is sent to, and circulated in, the metal container 1 via a valve 16. Thereby, the dielectric strength and the cooling performance of the title switchgear are enhanced remarkably. |
