PURPOSE: To replace a rechargeable battery without a user touching the hazardous line voltage, by providing a rotatable connector base having a receiving hole. CONSTITUTION: This electric appliance has a rechargeable battery, battery charger circuit and an appliance side plug provided thereon, a connector base 17 provided with a receiving hole 47, and a contact pin 15, 16 provided in the receiving hole 47 to engage with a connector corresponding to a power chord supplying power to the battery. The connector base 17 and the contact pin 15, 16 are rotatably mounted, so as to position a housing structure on the appliance, and so that supply of power to the battery charger circuit from the contact pin 15, 16 can be safely stopped.
