PURPOSE:To increase the reliability of an ink jet recording device, reduce running cost, permit the continuous printing of a big amount and facilitate switching printing between color printing and monochrome printing. CONSTITUTION:A replacement head 610 is communicated with an ink tank 237, to which the additional pouring is permitted by an ink supplying tube 236, while a maintenance device, consisting of a wiping blade 240, a cap 242, a suction pump 245 and the like, is attached to the ink tank. The ink tank is inserted into the mounting groove 514 of a main body device 501 detachably, the replacement head 610 is run on the main body device while being opposed to a printing paper 127 and an electrode for printing is attached detachably to a carriage 510, making a continuity with a driving circuit through a flexible cable 234, whereby the ink jet recording device is constituted. According to this constitution, the replacement head and the maintenance device can be replaced easily by a user integrally with the ink tank. |
