PURPOSE: To prevent other constituent members from being affected when a timing plunger is not well moved, by relatively and independently moving inner movable members. CONSTITUTION: This fuel injector is provided with an injector body 10 having a first cylindrical bore 14 and a second cylindrical bore 18 coaxially arranged and communicated with each other, a metering barrel 34 communicated with the injector body and having a metering chamber 33, and a timing plunger chamber 26 for forming a part of the second cylindrical bore. Moreover, it is provided with a timing plunger 16 suitable for the movement in the timing plunger chamber, a coupling member 20 suitable for the movement in the first cylindrical bore, and an injection nozzle 23 communicated with the metering chamber, the coupling member and the timing plunger have the contact relationship and can be independently and freely moved in the first cylindrical bore and the timing plunger chamber. |
