PURPOSE:To enable both a requesting person side and a proofreader side to perform correction specifying and proofreading operation on a screen without printing out a document to be proofread. CONSTITUTION:A document creation and editing controller 1 displays the document to be proofread, stored in a memory 5, at the lower stage on the screen of a display device 3. Then when a character string to be corrected is specified through an input device 2, a window is opened at the upper stage on the screen and then the document creation and editing controller 1 displays a correction sentence inputted from the input device 2 in the window and also stores the correction sentence and a symbol indicating the character string part to be corrected in the memory 5. After the operation is carried out for all proofread documents, the document creation and editing controller 1 stores the proofread documents in the memory 5 on a floppy disk 100. The proofreader calls the proofread documents on the floppy disk 100 to his device and corrects the corresponding correction object character string according to the correction sentence inserted into the document. |
