PURPOSE:To provide the document creation device and punctuation mark input method which can improve document input efficiency by automating operation for selecting and determining a kind of 'punctuation marks' set to one key in common in Roman character input mode. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 stores a RAM 3 with a mode of the device when a key code other than the punctuation marks is inputted from a keyboard 4. When a punctuation mark key is operated on the keyboard 4, the mode of the device at the point of time when the last key is operated is known by referring to the RAM to select and determine one of the punctuation marks specified with the operated punctuation mark key. Consequently, the CPU 1 automatically determine one of '.' for Japanese input with the same key. |
