PURPOSE:To provide an oil ring excellent in an abrasion resistance characteristic of an inner peripherla surface of a side rail of a combined oil ring, favourable in a following characteristic to a cylinder inner wall of an outer peripheral surface and excellent in an abrasion resistance characteristic and an anti-seize characteristic of the outer peripheral surface. CONSTITUTION:A combined oil ring is constituted of two pieces of side rails 1 and a spacer expander 4 sandwiched by them, and the side rails 1 form super hard films of TiCN and the like of 3-15mum thickness by a plasma chemical vapor deposition method on their inner peripheral surfaces 3 and form chrome nitride film of 5-50mum by reactive ion plating on their outer peripheral surfaces. |
