PURPOSE: To provide a clamp device which can improve a tension loading capability by forming at least a part of a surface relating to frictional engagement, from a coating with hard material particles. CONSTITUTION: A clamp device includes two wedge shape bushing halves 5.1, 5.2 which are axially pulled to each other by a screw 6 which is inserted in an axial directions of a back-up 2. Since a wedge-like nature is present, the two halves are simultaneously pushed radially outward so as to be pressed against the inner surface of the back-up 2. The thus obtained frictional engagement (between the wedge-like bushing and the back-up) is caused by a principle of the coupling structure. Further, with the provision of quart particle coatings 8. 1, 8.2 on action surfaces of the wedge-shape bushings 5.1, 5.2, the effected of frictional engagement can be remarkable enhanced. |
