PURPOSE: To take out stuffing box packing without damaging the packing or a packing inside space by forming a projecting part in an end part on the opposite side of the armature inside, positioning the projecting part outside a seal area, and fixing a tool to the projecting part by complementary-shaped joining and joining by force. CONSTITUTION: A projecting part 5 is formed on the upper side of integral stuffing box packing 4, this part 5 has a ring or jacket shape, and in that case, an inside diameter of this coaxial projecting part 5 is almost equal to an inside diameter of residual packing, and an outside diameter D is smaller than an outside diameter of the packing. The projecting part 5 can be particularly gripped by operating a tool from the outside to pull out the packing from a packing inside space by reducing the outside diameter. To particularly reliably fix the tool to the outside of the projecting part 5, a coaxial annular groove 6 is formed outside, and the tool can be inserted in a complementary shape into the coaxial annular groove. |
