PURPOSE:To effectively convert ultrasonic oscillation into rotational torque at the sliding part of an ultrasonic motor, etc., without causing the bending and creeping even under the application of ultrasonic oscillation and pressing force. CONSTITUTION:A resin-based sliding material is composed of a matrix 5a and carbon fiber 5b. The matrix 5a is e.g. a thermoplastic polyimide. The carbon fibers 5b are oriented in almost the same direction. The representative length of the carbon fiber 5b is made to be sufficiently longer than the thickness of the sliding material (thickness of the sliding material layer 5) to be pasted to the rotor substrate 31. |
