PURPOSE:To omit the conventionally used alternating current reator and make smaller the outer dimension by enlarging that leakage inductance of the transformer connecting the reactive power adjusting device and the power system. CONSTITUTION:The inverter device 10 is connected to the system power source 1 through the inductance and the output voltage of the inverter device 10 or the difference in phase between the voltage of the system power source 1 and the output of the inverter device is controlled to adjust the reactive power of the system power source 1. As an inductance element, the leakage inductance of the transformer 11 connecting the inverter device 10 and the system power source is employed.
