PURPOSE:To obtain a biodegradable thin film resistant to swelling or getting brittle by water-absorption, having excellent environmental pollution resistance and useful for the direct packaging of food, etc., by forming a thin film with a specific zein solution and drying the film under specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A thin film is formed by using a zein solution produced by dispersing zein in an aqueous solution of acetone having a concentration of 65-75V/V%. The objective thin film is produced by drying the obtained film in an atmosphere having a relative humidity of <=85% at an initial heating temperature of <=55 deg.C. Preferably, the solution is applied to the surface of a biodegradable tool and dried to impart the tool with water-resistance. |
