PURPOSE:To provide a function for efficiently preparing English sentences from KANA (Japanese syllabary) input. CONSTITUTION:A morphemic analyzing part 2 analyzes in morpheme input character strings and sends analyzed syntax information to a sentence holding part 3. The sentence holding part 3 holds an analyzed source sentence and a conversion mode and sends the source sentence to a source sentence display part 6. Also, the translated sentence of a converted result sent from a conversion control part 4 is held and the translated sentence is sent to a translated sentence display part 7. The conversion, control part 4 refers to control characters for conversion use sent from an input part 1 and the syntax information and the conversion mode information of the sentence holding part 3, decides a conversion method and sends the conversion method and conversion character strings to an English expression preparing part 5. The English expression preparing part 5 prepares the candidates of corresponding English expressions and sends the English expressions to a candidate display part 8. The candidate display part 8 displays the candidates of the English expressions prepared by the English expression preparing part 5 and sends the appropriate candidate selected by a user to the English expression preparing part 5. |
