PURPOSE:To send data effectively by sending data through plural transmission lines in the case of a conference in real time and sending the data through one transmission line after multiplexed data are stored in the case of a confer ence not in real time. CONSTITUTION:When a conference is held in real time, an interconnection procedure control section 108 sets up a call to plural channels, and coded motion picture data coded voice data and information data via a data port 106 by video audio CODECs 110, 111 are multiplexed by a multiplexer transmission section 113 and its frame is formed at a speed for plural digital lines and the data are sent at a high speed via a network interface 114. On the other hand, when a conference is held not in real time, the data multiplexed by the multiplexer transmission section are stored in a data storage means such as a disk device and the data are sent to an opposite storage means through one transmission line, the line utility charge is decreased and the data are sent efficiently. |
