One electric motor operates the operating plate of a mode changing means and the housing of the front loading. Loading gears (25,26) and a loading arm (24) load or unload a sloped post assembly guiding the video tape. A baseplate (1) has an erasing head (6), an audio head assembly (7) and a takeup arm (65). A pinch driving means (50) moves a pinch arm (60) down to press the video tape.
