PURPOSE:To reduce defectives and manhours and eliminate environmental problems in the manufacture of laminated piezo-electric elements. CONSTITUTION:Piezo-electric materials 11 and internal electrodes 12 are alternately laminated to manufacture a laminated piezo-electric element. After the slicing process in the manufacture, at least the side of the element where an internal electrode 12 is exposed is subjected to shot blasting. This makes unnecessary a lapping process to remove scrapings from sliced faces. In addition the end of the internal electrode 12 is projected from the level of the end face of the piezo-electric material 11. This increases the surface area of the internal electrode 12, and provides reliable connection with external electrodes. |
