PURPOSE:To make it possible to simultaneously change the formats of other relating documents by the change of a certain document by changing the formats of other document data in accordance with restricting information and the format change of one document data at the time of changing the format of the document data concerned. CONSTITUTION:When a change in the character size of an illustration is specified through an operation part 3, an illustration edition control part 6 instructs the change in the character size of the illustration to a processing determining part 7. The determining part 7 retrieves document managing data 10 included in editing document data 9 through a control part 4 and recognizes the existence of a slave illustration. Thereby the determining part 7 instructs processing for changing the character size of format data in both the master and slave illustrations to a processing part 8. The processing part 8 changes the character size of the master and slave illustrations through the control part 4. Consequently the character size of the slave illustration can be automatically changed by changing the character size of the master one. |
