<p>PURPOSE:To provide a signal exchange device for easily exchanging signals even concerning data at the transmission rate from several Mbps to several hundreds of Mbps by providing a read control means and a control means. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with memory read controllers 6 and 26 for performing control so as to read data from input frame buffers 3 and 23 with prescribed time slots, and a CPU 17 for applying instructions to the controllers 6 and 26 so as to transfer the required data of the frames of respective input lines IN1 and IN2 to output buffers 9 and 29 of desired output lines OUT1 and OUT2 based on the instruction of the connection control of each line. Thus, since the data are successively read from these input buffers 3 and 23 for each prescribed time slot based on line connection control data in each line or the externally inputted instruction, the data can be outputted to any arbitrary output line or transferred between the CPU 17 and the line.</p> |
