PURPOSE:To provide a system in which communication with a host can be easily started by entire terminal users without any error, in a computer network system in which a terminal is connected through a gate way with the host. CONSTITUTION:A terminal 10 is connected through a gate way 12 with a host 14. The terminal 10 is equipped with a means 16 which requests the connection with the host 14 to the gate way 12, means 18 which switches a communication procedure to the gate way 12 when the end of the host connection is communicated from the gate way 12, and means 20 which operates a communication processing to the host 14 on the switched procedure. The gate way 12 is equipped with a means 22 which operates the connection processing with the host 14 on the fixed communication procedure in response to a request from the terminal 10, means 24 which switches the communication procedure to the terminal 10, and means 26 which repeats the communication of the terminal 10 with the host 14. |
