PURPOSE:To provide a magnet roll capable of being easily positioned and capable of obtaining a high surface magnetic force by forming a groove or a notch on the surface of an approximately columnar magnet body as a positioning means and fixing both ends of the magnet body directly to the peripheral device. CONSTITUTION:This shaftless magnet roll M consists of an almost columnar solid magnet body 1 formed by extruding a resin magnet material in which a magnetic powder is dispersed in a hard synthetic resin. A groove 2a having a U-shaped cross section is formed on the periphery of the magnet body 1 over its whole length as a positioning means, and both ends of the roll M are fixed directly to the peripheral device or the member W of a developing vessel, etc. Consequently, the number of parts is reduced, the assembling is facilitated, and productivity is improved. |
