PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal display device having improved durability and reliability without deteriorating image quality by a disturbance in the orientation of a liquid crystal layer. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal display device has a liquid crystal material 4 on one side between two sheets of transparent substrates 1 and 13 holding a thin-film layer 7 provided with an element for liquid crystal driving and a flowable material 11 on the other. A transparent electrode 2 is provided on the transparent substrate surface enclosing the liquid crystal material 4 and a light shielding layer 14 and color filters 15, 15' are provided on the transparent substrate surface enclosing the flow material 11. |
