PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of contained oxygen by wet-molding the mixture between material powder for a rare earth sintered magnet and a hydrophobic solvent, and then, holding it in wet condition, and performing the processing of removing the hydrophobic solvent in the process of raising the temperature in sintering, and then, sintering it. CONSTITUTION:The mixture between material powder for an R-Fe-B (R is one kind or two kinds or more out of rare earth elements including Y) and a hydrophobic solvent is wet-molded as it is in condition that powder is oriented, having an orienting magnetic field applied. This is the manufacture of a rare earth sintered magnet, which sinters it after applying processing of holding this obtained molded item in wet condition with a hydrophobic solvent and removing the hydrophobic solvent in the temperature raise process for sintering. Hereby, a sintered substance low in quantity of contained oxygen can be obtained, and the deterioration of the property of the manufactured rare earth sintered magnet can be prevented. |
