发明名称 DC ARC FURNACE AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
摘要
PURPOSE: To equalize the abrasion of the refractory lining of a DC arc furnace by retaining a cathodic electrode at the center of the furnace on one hand, and arranging an anodic bottom electrode device leading from a container wall to the melt at a plurality of quadrants, in the vicinity of a conductive lower container on the other. CONSTITUTION: This DC arc furnace comprises a lower container 5 and an upper container 18 insulated from this by an insulator 7, and it is lined with a refractory lining 2. Moreover, a graphite electrode projects vertically to the center of the furnace through a cover by a method where it is displaceable, and this forms a cathode 1 for DC arc, and arc 8 is generated to fuse the melt 3 by applying a current to this cathode 1 and an anode plate 10 buried in the lining 2. The furnace wall 21 of the lower container 5 is provided with a connecting plate for a current lead wire at four quadrants (I-IV), each connecting plate is connected to the anode plate 10 through the bottom 20 consisting of a steel plate, and a current is applied to it through each lead wire by a rectifier power supply source.
