PURPOSE: To obtain an ideal three-dimensional image by displaying a first subset of image information, contained in the three-dimensional image and a second subset of the information contained in the three-dimensional image, while an observer makes a characteristic synthesization on a display element by using a part of the first subset. CONSTITUTION: Two objects O1 and O2 exist at distances R1 and R2 from a condenser lens L, measured along the optical axis OA of the lens L. A plurality of detector rows DA1 -DAn extract a two-dimensional image volume and the sample from the detector rows DA1 -DAn is processed by means of a processing member PM. The member PM is composed of a frame buffer, an image- superposing unit, an image-modulating element, and an image information separating element. The processed sample is then supplied to first and second display elements D1 and D2 . The element D1 is composed of a plurality of display rulers DR1 -DR2 , which are arranged in parallel with each other and positioned in the field of vision of an observer, equipped with the element D2 for the sake of the observer. |
