The subject of the present invention is a portable pivoting table for checking the turning and tracking of a vehicle. It consists of the combination of a turntable (2) which can move laterally, carried by a support table (1) which is stationary, the whole being designed so that a lateral displacement of the turntable by more than a given distance sets up a contact which actuates an acoustic signal (21) and reveals a coloured zone (22) of the support table which is usually concealed by the turntable. It relates to the equipment used in mechanical workshops or checking stations for checking the operation of the front axle assembly of motor vehicles of all types. <IMAGE>
