PURPOSE:To provide a picture processor capable of improving the detection speed of a change point in picture data. CONSTITUTION:The picture processor is provided with the 1st register 1 for successively storing binary data in the horizontal direction of a picture in each 8 bits, the 3rd register 5 for storing 8-bit data on the same column in the preceding line of the contents stored in the register 1, a left direction detecting circuit for detecting a position where adjacent bits in the register 1 are changed from 0 to 1 from the left direction, a right direction detecting circuit 7 for detecting a position where adjacent bits in the register 1 are changed from 0 to 1 from the right direction, an upper direction detecting circuit 8 for detecting a position where bits of corresponding positions in the registers 1, 5 are changed from 0 to 1 from the upper direction, and a lower direction detecting circuit 9 for detecting a position where bits of corresponding positions in the registers 1, 5 are changed from 0 to 1 from the lower direction. |
