PURPOSE:To make a generated torque large and to stably turn the a motor. CONSTITUTION:An electro-mechanical conversion element 14 is fixed to a part where a stepped cylindrical elastic body 13 provided with a fastening part is set between fixing parts 13a, 13b at both ends. An AC voltage with a phase difference is applied to the electro-mechanical conversion element 14, and a plurality of vibration modes are formed. One pair of cylindrical elastic bodies 11, 12 are fixed to the stepped cylindrical elastic body 13 so as to sandiwch the electromechanical conversion element 14. Consequently, rotary vibrations or elliptical vibrations are caused at free ends 11b, 12b of the cylindrical elastic bodies 11, 12. Driving rollers pressed to the free ends 11b, 12b are turned by the rotary vibrations or the elliptical vibrations. A force which is applied to the cylindrical elastic bodies 11, 12 is received by the electro-mechanical conversion element 14. |
