PURPOSE: To establish an ion analyzing method using the electrostatic ion (liquid) chromatography and offer a two electrocharged stationary phase, with which it is practicable to use water as an eluant and to easily separate and analyze amino acids and proteins simultaneously as well as ions. CONSTITUTION: A sample liquid having a plurality of substances to be analyzed is injected to one end of a stationary phase filling a segregation column, and the eluant is developed and the components are analyzed in accordance with the difference in the holding time of each substance. In this separating and analyzing method, the specified separated ions are detected by the ultraviolet method or electroconductivity method using a two electrocharged stationary phase 1 consisting of a carrier 11 of porous silica gel, a hydrophobic layer 12 generated on the surface of the carrier through reaction of octadecyl silane, and a two electrocharge layer 13 formed on the surface of the layer 12 which is covered with compounds with a positive and a negative charging part (ammonium salt or amide part or the like, and sulfonic acid ion part or carboxylic acid ion part or the like). |
