PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a fault due to the mounting of wrong units whose specifications are different. CONSTITUTION:Exchangeable units 101-104, 107, and 108 whose specifications are different are mounted, and images are formed by controlling those units through images are formed by controlling those units through control lines 111-113, 118, 119 by a control means 100. Then, the specification classifications of the mounted units 101-104, 107, and 108 are inputted through ID lines 121-126 to the control means 100, and compared and judged with the constitutions of the units which can be controlled stored in a storage device by the control means 100. Thus, those units can be appropriately controlled. |
