PURPOSE:To provide a device in which the incoming of an electronic mail can be automatically communicated just after the incoming of the electronic mail, and the change of the hardware of a data line terminating device and a data terminating device is not requested. CONSTITUTION:In a data line terminating device DCE, the incoming of the mail is monitored, and at the time of the incoming of the mail, a mail address is converted into the network address of a data terminating device DTE in which a user is present, and the incoming signal of the mail is superimposed on a local area network LAN. An electronic mail incoming display device 1 equipped with a display 14 is connected on a cable 5 connecting the local area network LAN with the data terminating device DTE. In the electronic mail incoming display device 1, the protocol of the local area network LAN is analyzed, the mail incoming signal is received; and the mail incoming is displayed on the display 14. |
