PURPOSE:To obtain the video camera in which the line of sight of a person being an object and an optical axis coincide with each other, and lowering of presence is not brought on, even in the case it is used for a video telephone and a video conference equipment, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a virtual lens 10 is assumed, a part of a peripheral edge part of its virtual lens 10 is used as a photographic lens 11. Also, when a light beam from an object 15 passing through the photographic lens 11 is defined as a luminous flux 17, a reflecting part 19 for guiding this luminous flux 17 from the photographic lens 11 to an image pickup element 12 and a shielding part 20 for preventing the other light than a prescribed reflected light from being made incident on the image pickup element 12 are provided.
