摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the bone model equal to the human bone in terms of structure and cutting feel by forming the bone model as a composite consisting of a (meth)acrylate resin and inorg. powder and specifying the porosity of a core part and sheath part. CONSTITUTION:This bone model contains 80 to 30wt.% (meth)acrylate resin and 20 to 70wt.% inorg. powder and is constituted of the core part having 10 to 50wt.% porosity and the sheath part having <=5% porosity. The porosity is indicated by per cent per volume adding open pores and closed pores and the cutting feel equiv. to the cutting feed of the cortical bone of the human bone is imparted to the bon model by specifying the porosity. The inorg. powder includes, for example, quartz, glass, alumina, borosilicate glass, etc., and is preferably hydroxyapatite which is the main inorg. component of the human bone. The (meth)acrylate resin is obtd. by subjecting a liquid material contg. a (meth)acrylate monomer to polymn. curing in the presence of a specific catalyst or under specified conditions.
