PURPOSE:To quicken the response of control and prevent overcurrent during a fault by controlling the reactive power of a reactive power compensation device in accordance with the output signals of constant voltage control means and constant current control means. CONSTITUTION:This device comprises a constant voltage control circuit for keeping constant a DC voltage of an inverter 42 of a reactive power compensation device 4 (comprising an operation command circuit 401 of the reactive power compensation device, a DC voltage detecting circuit 402, an adding circuit 403 for determining the deviation of a detected DC voltage value from a voltage command value, and an operational amplifier 404) and a constant current control circuit for keeping constant a current which flows from the reactive power compensation device 4 to the system (comprising the operation command circuit 401, a polarity reversing circuit 408, an adding circuit for determining the deviation of a detected current value from the current command value, and an operational amplifier 410). And the reactive power of the reactive power compensation device 4 is controlled in accordance with the output signals of these control circuits. By doing this, the response of reactive power control can be quickened and the overcurrent during a fault can be prevented. |
