PURPOSE:To select a main object by magnification by switching the closest selection and magnification priority selection so as to prevent focusing on miscellaneous objects such as a table, a wall, & etc., and also to prevent inside void phenomenon. CONSTITUTION:The output of a center range-finding part 1 is supplied to a comparing part 3, the closest deciding part 4 and a selecting part 5, and the output of a peripheral range-finding part 2 is supplied to the closest deciding part 4 and the selecting part 5. Also a first specified value and a second specified value are respectively inputted to the comparing part 3 and the selecting part 5 from a first specified value input part 6 and a second specified value input part 7. The compared result of the comparing part 3 is inputted to a gate circuit 9 together with the decided result of the closest range-finding part 4 through an inverter 8 and the output of the comparing part 3 and the selecting part 5 is inputted to the gate circuit 10. A focus adjusting part 11 controls a focusing lens 12 in accordance with the output results of the gate circuits 9 and 10. |
