<p>This device comprises a base support (20) mounted on the floor of the vehicle near to the lever (60); two mounting plates (202-203) spaced on the support (20), guide bars (23 and 24) between the said plates, a hollow support (25) mounted on and movable along the said bars, a support block (27) arranged in the support (25); a guide sleeve (31) mounted on the support (20) and receiving a screw (32), one end of which engages with a means (30) for holding the lever; a linkage means (33-34) mounted between the screw (32) and the means (30) for converting a nonlinear movement of the lever into a linear movement of the screw (32); a casing (40-50); a screw (26) mounted so that it can rotate in a mounting plate and comprising right (26a) and left (26b) screw threads engaging respectively with the support block (27) or the support (25); a means (21) for driving the screw (26); and a means (70; 80) for activating the means (21), the screw (32) being locked between the support (25) and the support block (27) and being unlocked when the means (21) is caused to rotate respectively in one direction and in the other direction. <IMAGE></p> |
