THERMALLY ACTIVATABLE MODULAR CONSTRUCTION ELEMENT, ITS USE, DIRECT GLAZING PROCESS FOR VEHICLES, AND ADHESIVE

A storable modular construction element, in particular storable glass module, is prepared for mounting on another construction element by glueing without requiring the use of an additional mounting adhesive. The construction element has along its edge a profiled strip of a latent reactive adhesive which mainly contains one or several polyurethanes with blocked isocyanate groups, one or several polyurethane precursors constituted of polyols and/or polyamines and encapsulated polyisocyanates, or one or several polyurethanes with radically polymerizable groups. The reaction of the adhesive may be initiated at an activation temperature from 70 to 180 DEG C. At the same time, it remains sticky and non-fluid, although plastically deformable, long enough for mounting to be carried out. Said materials are activable by exposure to electric, electromagnetic or magnetic energy, or to infrared radiation. The adhesive may contain magnetizable and/or electroconductive fillers. This glass module is useful for directly glazing vehicles, in particular motor vehicles.
