<p>N-acyl compounds known as bleach activators especially tetraacetylalkylene diamines, are reacted with a peroxygen source in aqueous solution at an acidic pH to form an oxidising product which is a stronger oxidising agent than the peroxygen source used as the starting material. The product solution is used for instance as a bleach or disinfectant. The activator and peroxygen source may be provided as a concentrate product ready for dilution with components able to produce acidic pH in the aqueous solution. The product is, for instance in particulate solid form containing granules of activator and different granules of peroxygen source.</p> |
