The invention relates to a compact-disc holder (10, 60, 70, 80) for holding compact-disc cases and to a compact-disc holder arrangement (58, 68, 78) having at least one compact-disc holder (60, 70, 80). In order to reduce the space requirement of the compact-disc holder (10, 60, 70, 80) and to make available a compact-disc holder (10, 60, 70, 80) in which the compact-disc cases (30, 32) can be stored in any position irrespective of their thickness, the compact-disc holder (10, 60, 70, 80) is provided with a rear panel (12, 62, 72, 82), which is essentially planar, rigid and elongated in the vertical direction and on which releasably mounted holding elements (14) are arranged which each have an upper bearing region (28) and a lower abutment region (29) remote from the latter, the compact-disc cases (30, 32) being held such that they are tilted and clamped between neighbouring holding elements (14). <IMAGE>
