摘要 The invention relates to a vascular implant for preventing and/or eliminating vasoconstriction, which comprises at least one radionuclide species having a half-life between 7 hours and 100 days. The vascular implant is to be such that it exposes the adjacent tissues to radioactive emissions throughout the period in which restenosis is to be feared. After implantation this radiation reaches relatively high values in the short-term, whereas it is low in the medium-term and long-term. This is achieved in that either at least two radionuclide species are contained, one of which has a half-life in the range from 7 hours to 7 days and the other has a half-life of more than 100 days, or in that a radionuclide species is contained which has a half-life in the range from 7 hours to 7 days and disintegrates, directly or indirectly, into at least one daughter nuclide having a half-life of more than 100 days. A method of producing the vascular implants is characterised in that an iron-containing steel or a tantalum alloy or a nickel/titanium alloy is irradiated.
