HOOK FOR THE TREATMENT OF SPINAL DEFORMITIES

This hook for the treatment of spinal deformities consists of a shank section 2) having a longitudinal axis (1), transversely to which can be secured a longitudinal support (5), and a hook unit (3) adjacent the shank section (2) and curved away from the longitudinal axis (1). It also has a stabilising extension (4) running substantially in the opposite direction to the curved hook unit (3). The hook can be firmly and stably secured to the vertebra independently of the longitudinal support bearing it.
