Method for the improved recognition of printed characters

By means of the application of three computer programs or algorithms operating in different ways for optical character recognition (OCR) on a text original, with subsequent character by character comparison of the results, the character to be transferred into the output text being found by means of 2 : 1 agreement in the case of differences between the three results, the result is an altogether higher repeat recognition rate of printed texts by means of computer programs and thus a smaller expenditure in the case of any manual post-correction.
